What would I do?

Without a friend like you?

Where would I be?

I often dreamed,

Of a special friend,

Someone who understood,

My every thought.

Of that special one,

Who knew what I needed,

Without a word.

Of a special soul,

Who I could share my dreams,

My fears and thoughts.

I often dreamed,

Of that special heart,

That loved me regardless,

That accepted just me.

I never dreamed,

There was a special friend,

Set aside for me,

But now I have found,

That special soul,

I can’t possibly dream,

Of what losing her would mean.

Where would I be?

If it wasn’t for you?

What would I do?
