Guardian Angels

We all have them. THose people who look out for us. WOrry about us. Take care of us.
Two people spring to my mind. The first person saved me. I thought all was lost. She reached out her arms and helped lift me up. She held me safe while the storms of my life crashed around me. She was my life ring. I clung to her. I relied on her perhaps too much.
The other is simply there for me. She listens to me. She challenges me. She keeps me going straight. She means the wolrd to me. For her I would do anything - a thousand times and more. She holds the rope while inch by slow fucking painful sloggin inch i crawl my way back.
She taught me to trust again. She taught me so much. She is my teacher, my guide, my follower, my student, my friend.
She is my idol. I look up to her, her strength, her will, her vivacity. I am ever so proud and honoured to be able to call her friend
